Painting in progress: suboceanic translucence

art : abstract painting with dark blues and greens

Suboceanic Translucence by M.K. Hajdin

I’m making this painting for a friend. It was supposed to be like my painting “Blue, White 2”, but somehow came out different. I don’t know what else I’ll do to it. Maybe glaze a little. I like the oceanic colors and the hint of iridescence, but I think the composition could be more unified.

It’s very three-dimensional. I see a lot of depth, and motion. To me, it seems like a very real place; beautifully coloured.
